Engineering, A Family Tradition

Engineering is a family tradition for Auburn University student Josh Folmar.Born into a family of builders, Folmar spent much of his childhood building bridges and sky scrapers out of Legos. In Coliseum room 2093 of Auburn University, students file in decked out in white robes and various colored belts. Some belts are white, some are yellow and one is black – that of ‘Sensei’ (teacher) Robert Martin.“He’s the karate guy,” said Tim Ramsey, a second semester karate student.Martin began training in the art of karate 35 years ago after graduating from the University of Alabama. Fun in the Sun: A Working Vacation

During the summer, most college students sleep in and enjoy a few test-free months by the pool. But instead of taking vacations, Auburn University horticulture student Nate Tompkins spent his summer days interning with a vacation resort.
