"Geoff,
Good to hear from you. Were you in South Carolina earlier?
Are you getting the announcements about open house?
You're on the alumni listserv, right?
Ed"
Ed - Yep, I left the Birmingham Post-Herald in '94 and had been in S.C. that whole time until moving here. It was tough to leave home again since my family and my wife's are both there.
I always get a mailer about the open house but since I wasn't as heavily involved with the Plainsman, it wasn't something where I would reconnect with a lot of friends. Between class and work, I didn't have much time with the Plainsman and most of my friends were outside the journalism circle.
I'm on an overall alumni e-mail list, and maybe something for Liberal Arts, but nothing for the department. Send that link if you have it handy.
How are things there? I came through the weekend of the West Virginia game for a reunion at Callaway Gardens but only had about 30 minutes in Auburn. We opted to watch the game on TV - thank goodness with the rain. I hope they bounce back and crush Kentucky.
I hope we can get over in the spring for a late basketball or early baseball game, see the campus when it's less hectic. Sounds like it has changed dramatically just in the past few years since I was last there ('05 or '06).
