When most people play the game, Dirty Santa, it involves each person bringing a gift, drawing a number and trying to steal the gift they want. The Holladay household in Opelika, Ala., however, has always played Dirty Santa a little different.

Living in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is nothing like living in the small town of Auburn, Ala. While Auburn students have become accustomed to riding the Tiger Transit, hunting down parking spots and using their meal plans to devour Chick-fil-A, residents of Dhaka eat rice at nearly every meal and use rickshaws as their mode of transportation.

Representatives of Auburn University are trained to call the on-campus housing options “residence halls” and not “dorms.” To Auburn, a dorm is nothing more than a place to sleep and hang your hat at night.
