Giving Back to the Community: Boys and Girls Club

All around the United States, the Boys and Girls Club of America helps children build and develop their character. It is an after-school program for children whose parents are not able to take care of them until later in the night. Often times, the Boys and Girls Club caters to underprivileged children with no adult supervision. The club aims to take those children in and provide them with a safe environment to play and learn. It takes them off the streets and provides them with companionship…See More

Party Done Right

Now that spring has sprung, more and more people are enjoying being out at the pool or in their front yards. Specifically fraternities will start having their spring parties at their houses. A Tradition Murdered

The Toomer’s oak trees are a symbol of Auburn University’s success for over 130 years now. The trees are so important to Auburn’s tradition and have special and different meanings for everyone. Once news broke about the poisoning of the oak trees, chaos ensued. The news spread rapidly by enraged Auburn fans and students through social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. A Junior at Auburn University, Allyssa Carbine, said of the rapid spread of news, “I was awakened from a nap by a phone…See More

Brandon Howell: An Auburn Traditionalist

What’s your favorite Auburn tradition?Football brings out the best in Auburn tradition. The tradition I enjoy the most is the tiger walk so that I get to see the coach and the stars of the team. It gets me pumped up for the game ahead and is definitely an Auburn tradition I can't miss out on game day. If you could meet one Auburn legend, dead or alive, who would it be?I am a sports fanatic so it is no wonder why I would like to meet Bo Jackson. He's one of my favorite athletes of all time and…See More

Posted on February 15, 2011 at 4:51pm 0 Comments

After an interview with a current nursing school student at Auburn University, I can emphatically answer that daunting question with a big yes. The Auburn University School of Nursing is one of…
