"Thank you so much for putting my photo on the main Web page. I had no idea it would placed there. I really thought it would just go on here! But thanks nonetheless. It means a lot too me!"
Campus Activities While In College (Clubs, Organizations, Greek Life, etc.)
While at Auburn, I was given many opportunities to help prepare myself for the professional world. It was during my educational stay at Auburn in which I completed two part-time internships on behalf of the university.
The first internship I completed was for the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine's Continuing Education Office. While at the AUCVM, I gained invaluable experience working with the event planning and event coordination side of public relations. Alongside my internship supervisor, I planned, coordinated and executed three annual events. From producing multiple publications reaching 200+ plus people, to merely inputting data, I found this internship to be exceedingly fulfilling.
The last internship I completed was for the Auburn University Office of Communications and Marketing. For OCM, I worked with Jacob Wilder, a fellow public relations graduate, on producing Auburn University's weekly, student e-newsletter, "This Week @ AU." We also worked on conducting interviews of current Auburn University students who represented the university while studying abroad, and created user profiles to be posted on Auburn University's International Presence Web site, "Global Gateway."
Although I completely divulged myself into the aforementioned internships, I failed to become highly active in extracurricular activities. To this day, my lack of involvement on campus has remained one of my largest, college-related regrets.
