Auburn's New Public Relations Organization

A new public relations organization has joined Auburn’s campus. The organization has up to 30 members and will soon be a branch of the national organization, the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). PRSSA focuses on allowing students to network for potential internships and careers. President Maggie Daley is the newly elected president and a junior in public relations.

Tiger Habitat Helps Build Homes for Those in Need in Lee County

Tiger Habitat just completed a house for one of Auburn’s own families, the 0’Brians. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home was built together by funds raised by Tiger Habitat and the Lee County Habitat for Humanity.

Tiger Habitat is Auburn University’s branch of Habitat for Humanity. The group consists of five executive members and 50 students, who raise funds through different events to provide the less fortunate with homes in the Lee County community.

Growing up in Tuscaloosa, Ala. could influence a post high school student to go to the University of Alabama, but not Britni Robertson. When Auburn University students come to his or her first day of college, the experience can be nerve racking. Imagine coming from Africa to Auburn for your first day of class.

Lilian Zekeri came from Nigeria to Auburn in 2001 to earn her master’s degree in education. Zekeri’s husband, an instructor at Tuskegee University, also moved from Nigeria to attend AU. Zekeri said she decided to followed him in his quest for higher learning.
