Clint Myers Named Auburn Softball Head Coach

Auburn, Ala. - Clint Myers, who led Arizona State to two NCAA Championships, has been named Auburn softball’s second head coach in program history, Director of Athletics Jay Jacobs announced Friday. In eight years at the helm of the Sun Devil program, Myers took seven trips to the Women’s College World Series.

Sunny Golloway Named Auburn Head Baseball Coach

AUBURN, Ala. - Sunny Golloway has been named Auburn's head baseball coach, Auburn Director of Athletics Jay Jacobs announced Friday. Golloway has spent the past eight seasons as head coach at the University of Oklahoma, where he led the Sooners to seven NCAA Regional berths, four NCAA Super Regionals and the 2010 College World Series.

Board Approves the New School of Communication and Journalism

Today the Auburn University Board of Trustees voted to approve formal creation of The School of Communication and Journalism. Current department chair Dr. Margaret Fitch-Hauser and incoming chair Dr. Jennifer Adams were present at the meeting representing the proposal.

Hilary Rizk Receives Undergraduate Research fellowship

Wildlife sciences junior Hilary Rizk has been named an Undergraduate Research Fellow for fall 2013. The Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program (URFP) provides opportunities for qualified students from any major to conduct mentored research with Auburn University faculty.

Jason Dufner Ties for Fourth at US Open Golf Tourney



Auburn's Jason Dufner tied for fourth at the USGA Open Golf Tournament played at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore,PA.

Jason played a particularly good fourth round on Sunday that put him in the position to challenge the leaders.

Justin Rose won the USGA Open beating Phil Mickelson on the last hole.  We look forward to hearing more from Jason now that he has gotten his best game going…
