Waking up for a 6 a.m. practice is probably not the number one thing on most college student’s to-do lists. Getting to be a part of the AUMB requires some early wake up calls, especially in a season where night games are a rare commodity, but cheering along with the rest of the Auburn family every Saturday is definitely worth it.

Freshmen come to college not knowing what they want to study. There are so many majors and paths to choose and it is hard for them to make up their mind. This is exactly what happened to senior Anna Beth Vice. Vice is currently a psychology major, but is pursuing a nursing degree after graduation.

Vice did not realize that nursing was what she truly wanted to do the rest of her life, until she was too far into her psychology studies. That is why she stuck with psychology and…

She Leads A Squad, She Cheers On A Team, She Shapes Lives!

Look around campus on home game weekends, and what will you see? Generally speaking, you will see tailgating tents, phenomenal food and little girls dressed in cheerleading uniforms. For most little Auburn tigerettes, the ultimate goal is to be Auburn University’s head cheerleader. However, speaking statistically the odds are slim, but for Anna Walraven, a graduate student in special education, she is living the ultimate dream of every little Auburn fan.…

Auburn Roots

Four years and a semester ago, a family of four, the Snows, were getting ready for their oldest child, Matt, to leave for his first semester as a student at Auburn University. In a Ford Explorer loaded down with clothes, shelves and school supplies Matt Snow set out for a school that he had never dreamed of attending; not because his parents didn’t go to college, they did and not because his family could not afford it, they could. He didn’t dream of going to Auburn University because he had…

Students Standing 27 Hours for Modern-Day Slavery

Auburn students and graduates are commonly known for their excellence in performance. This excellence takes place out of the classroom just as much as in the classroom. Not a week goes by without some sort of student movement or campaign active on the concourse providing even more options for fellow students to get involved.

Because of these, and many more notable qualities held by Auburn students, it is no surprise that Auburn was chosen among 10 out of over 100 schools to…
