Healthy Tigers Wellness Initiative

Healthy Tigers is the Auburn University employee wellness plan. It is a new healthcare benefit for Auburn University employees who subscribe to Auburn University's health insurance plan. Employees who participate in the health and wellness screening program can earn a $25 per month credit on their health insurance premiums. Faculty Award Luncheon

On Tuesday, September 14th, the Auburn Alumni Association hosted the 2010 Faculty Awards & Scholarship Luncheon from noon to one in the Goodwin Room. Vice President of Alumni Affairs Debbie Shaw presented the opening speech, Alumni Programs Coordinator Tanja Matthews presented the awards and President of the Auburn Alumni Association, Nancy Fortner, gave the closing remarks.

Yeah, Write

The Miller Writing Center is a free service through the university that provides one-on-one tutoring for students that need help with the writing process. It conveniently has two locations; one in Haley Center that is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and one in the Ralph Brown Draughon (RBD) library that operates from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Students may make an appointment for a guaranteed 30 minute session, or walk-in sessions for 15 minutes are available on a first come, first serve… Continue

Traveling Abroad: Definitely Worth the Time and Money

Many students are aware that there are study abroad programs, but they are unsure if it would be something they would be interested in or if it is even worth it. Most students have to fulfill two semesters of a language requirement before they can graduate, but most do not realize it does not have to be in a classroom. Additionally, many people are unaware of the extended benefits of traveling abroad besides the academic credit earned.
