AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn equestrian team defeated Georgia, 3-1, in a ride-off competition to win the 2013 NCEA Overall National Championship Saturday at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas.

The Department of Communication and Journalism announced the 2013 initiates into Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association's Undergraduate Honor Society.
To qualify, these students have better than a 3.0 overall GPA and better than a 3.25 GPA in their major courses. They must be in the top 35% of their class and must demonstrate a commitment to the discipline through work and volunteer activities.

Daniel Edelman, who built the largest public relations firm in the world, died on January 16, 2013 of heart failure at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He was 92.
Edelman is credited with developing many of the methods now standard in the field of public relations.
