Auburn Rec Center Featured in US News & World Report

There are eight basketball courts, a 1/3-mile corkscrew track suspended high above the ground floor, a 20-foot climbing wall rising out of an outdoor pool, a PGA golf simulator and a hot tub that seats 50 people. Auburn Flyers: A September Timelapse - Auburn to Florida - 214 Miles

Auburn students Nathan, Frank, and Hunter decided to ride their bikes from Auburn, AL to Seaside, FL to raise money for the Auburn Flyers, Auburn University's Collegiate Cycling Team. 214 miles, and 12 hours of riding later, we arrived in Seaside! Sgt. Maj. Bennie Adkins and President Barack Obama :: Medal of Honor Ceremony

Sgt. Maj. Bennie G. Adkins received the Medal of Honor today from President Barack Obama in a White House ceremony.  Auburn's Maggie and Johnny Lawrence were among a group of local friends and family supporting Adkins in this remarkable day of events.  

Adkins lives in Opelika and taught accounting at Auburn University years ago.

Road Trip Anyone? Auburn Flyers Cycle Down to Florida ... In One Day

So, what's your idea of a road trip?

Auburn Journalism Awards 2014

AUBURN - On its 10th anniversary of honoring outstanding journalists with ties to Alabama, the Auburn University Journalism Advisory Council will recognize five distinguished print and broadcast professionals at its luncheon Sept. 12.

Auburn Alumna Lynn Edwards Angell Remembered on 9/11 Anniversary

It has been thirteen years since the horror of September 11 changed the world.

Auburn lost alumna Lynn Edwards Angell.  Lynn and her husband David were giving and caring people.  They took their success and gave it freely to others.  The Angell Foundation continues to support the arts, education and more today.
