Kathryn Beck is a 2012 BFA in Fine Art candidate in the Department of Art at Auburn University. She is specializing in painting.
The BFA in Fine Art Senior Project candidates for Fall 2012 also include Rebecca Campomanes, Kara Ffield, Laura Jett, Nicholas Norman, and Meghan Stewart.
BFA in Fine Art Senior Project is the final required course for the BFA degree in Fine Art that is taught collectively by a committee of approximately five faculty members. Students propose a direction for their work/research through a written proposal. They are responsible for determining specific course content and objectives and must create artwork that satisfies the terms of their proposals.
The objective is for students to work both independently and cooperatively with the committee to complete a body of coherent, original and high-quality work for the semester. A faculty committee reviews, evaluates, and selects work for exhibition. Students produce exhibition announcements to promote the exhibition and install the exhibition.
The fall 2012 Senior Project opening reception will occur from 4:00 p.m. through 6:00 p.m. on November 12 in Biggin Gallery, 101 Biggin Hall. The exhibition runs through November 30, 2012. All events are free and open to the public. For more information contact the Department of Art 844-4373.
