The Dunkin’ Darlings of Auburn University are accepting applications for women who are enthusiastic about Auburn Basketball.

The Dunkin’ Darlings held an informational sessions on Sept.12 and Sept. 15. to explain the organization and gain the interest of potential new members.
First-round interviews for the positions with the organization will be held Monday, Sept. 19 through Wednesday, Sept 21. Interview questions are designed to engage your personality and test your
current knowledge of Auburn Basketball.
The Dunkin’ Darlings are known as the official hostesses for the men’s and women’s basketball teams. They attend home games to support the team and help with recruiting during the year. Dunkin’ Darlings also attend quarterly socials with the basketball teams, host fundraisers and help with other services throughout the year.
The purpose of the Dunkin’ Darlings is to serve the Auburn University Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. To achieve this purpose the Dunkin’ Darlings promote the teams to the community, campus, donors and fans.
The duties of members are divided into four different teams and each individual will rotate teams throughout the season.
The Women’s Team is responsible for assisting and organizing events directly related to Auburn Women’s Basketball. They also assist the coaches with mail-outs and other services.
The Hospitality Team assists in the Scholarship Room during basketball season. Members of this team also plan and organize social events for the Dunkin’ Darlings and the teams.
The Marketing Team is responsible for publicizing all basketball games and events through various activities such as handing out fliers on and promotional items on game day .
The Spirit Team decorates the men’s and women’s locker rooms and assists the Marketing Team with promotional signs.
Individuals who are interested in joining are expected to support the organization by participating in scheduled events and assisting the coaches. They are also expected to carry themselves in a professional manner so as to not discredit the organization. It is important that members keep a positive attitude throughout the season and foster the Auburn spirit.
“Basically we’re looking for fun, energetic girls that love basketball and believe in Auburn and love it,” said Phylesia Hill, women’s director for the Dunkin’ Darlings.
