This spring, the Auburn University Alumni Association is offering Auburn University juniors, seniors and graduates the trip of a lifetime. Literally.
The Alumni Association is partnering with AESU travel company to send AU travelers to Europe. The 2015 Auburn European Graduation Trip will be making stops in London, Paris, Nice, the Vatican City, Rome, and Sorrento. An extended trip to Poros and Athens will be available for additional charges.
The dates of the 2015 Auburn European Graduation Trip are May 22 – June 2, 2015. For those who plan on joining in on the extended trip, the return date is June 8, 2015.
The 2015 Auburn European Graduation Trip, jointly planned by the Auburn Alumni Association and AESU, also pairs up Auburn University travelers with those from another university. In 2014, travelers from Ohio State University joined the travelers from Auburn University.
For the 2015 Auburn European Graduation Trip, the Auburn University travelers will be traveling with students and alumni from Southern Methodist University and Wittenburg University.
The group of travelers will be accompanied by an AESU representative and a Student Travel Ambassador from both universities. The Student Travel Ambassador will act as a liaison between the AESU representative and the travelers.
Cindy Walker, the Auburn University Alumni employee working alongside the Student Travel Ambassador, said she thinks that the 2015 Auburn European Graduation Trip is a great experience for Auburn students and graduates.
Walker strongly encourages current students and graduates to go on the trip because she feels that it is important for people to travel when such a life changing opportunity presents itself.
“This trip is the perfect jaunt across Europe,” Walker said. “You hit the big cities, get a real taste for traveling, and you get to see and experience some of the best spots Europe has to offer.”
Grace Perry, the Alumni Association’s previous Student Travel Ambassador and 2014 Auburn European Graduation Trip traveler, agreed.
“The 2014 Auburn European Graduation Trip was the trip of a lifetime and I would do it again without hesitation,” Perry said. “Because the trip is a week after graduation, it’s a celebration to look forward to during your long weeks preparing for finals.”
The 2015 Auburn European Graduation Trip, like those before it, will allow travelers to see the world in a different perspective, something that only traveling can do. As Walker said, the trip can offer a life changing experience and a different way to view the world.
Details for the 2015 Auburn European Graduation Trip such as prices, hotels, travel tips, and planned outings, will be discussed during informational sessions to be held in the Auburn University Student Center.
