Journalism professor Dr. Jennifer Adams released news of Auburn University's High School Journalism Workshop webpage today.
The 2012 workshop had a diverse turnout. "We had 29 high school sophomores, juniors and seniors with us last week. They each had to write a news story, a column, create a website, produce a video and a photo slideshow. You can see the scholarship winners and individual contest winners (on the workshop webpage). Under each participant's name, you can view his/her video and link to the student's individual workshop website," Adams said.
Praise was offered to the workshop's founder, too. "Professor Nan Fairley started this workshop 10 years ago. She is stepping down as director of the workshop. I want to thank her for her tremendous effort and vision to make this workshop the success it is today," Adams said.
Visit the workshop webpage to view examples of the student work and also see the award and scholarship winners.
