Emma Mahone and Jackie Graham are close friends who have worked together to create a clothing line that would appeal to young women ages 18-30.
After making its first appearance this fall, the Emma Graham clothing line is taking Auburn University’s campus by storm.
Lauren McDavid is one of the current Emma Graham campus representatives at Auburn. She has the opportunity to host trunk shows for Auburn students interested in Emma Graham designs.
“These Emma Graham trunk shows are a fantastic way to promote the brand,” McDavid said.
McDavid hosted her first trunk show in the Auburn Phi Mu chapter room on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at 7 p.m.
“When I received the trunk, all of the Emma Graham dresses, skirts and shirts were so adorable, that I knew I would have trouble deciding on just one to purchase,” McDavid said.
The trunk show displayed a multitude of Emma Graham apparel for purchase, and frosted sugar cookies and soft drinks were available so the girls could have an enjoyable experience while checking out the styles.
“I love helping the designer get her brand name out while helping girls select styles that show their personality,” McDavid said.
With Emma Graham’s Sept. 12, 2012 trunk show being a success, it can be known that this trunk show will not be the last one in Auburn.
“I was so excited to see a great turnout at our trunk show and so many girls excited about the brand,” McDavid said. “I look forward to hosting another trunk show in the near future.”
Emma Graham focuses primarily on the southeastern states. Since it is fall in Auburn, young women are on the hunt for their next Auburn game day dress.
“With Emma Graham’s newest line, the game day collection, girls have the opportunity to choose an existing design or design their own dress in their school colors,” McDavid said.
Being a campus representative for a designer can be a rewarding experience for anyone who is interested in entering the field.
“I highly recommend to anyone who is interested in marketing, apparel merchandise or fashion to get in touch with a designer and help promote their lines,” McDavid said.
“Not only is it a great resume builder, but it also gives you hands-on experience in the field.”
