Dear Auburn Family,
As I am sure you have heard, the weather is not likely to cooperate this Saturday. We may have to fight some serious rain activity to make these students' move-in as successful and pleasant as it can be.
I'm reminded of years ago when Auburn faced the worst rain storm I can remember, during the 2009 West Virginia football game. And what did our students do once the lightning threat ended but the rain still poured? They danced in the rain and sang as our incredible band played its heart out. THIS IS AUBURN!
This Saturday, let's show the same spirit. Bring a friend (or 10 friends), wear a crazy rain coat, bake some cookies, do anything that brings as many volunteers out as possible. Let's show these freshmen and their parents that even if the rain falls the Auburn Family will be there to help.
If you're interested in helping, please email Alison Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org. Follow @auburnstudents, #aumoveinmania, for up-to-date Move-In Mania information, weather, delays and changes going on in the Quad, Hill, Village and South Donahue residence halls.
