The Vince Camuto Fashion Show was held on November 15, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the Alpha Omicron Pi chapter room. Vince Camuto is a new fashion designer who is taking Auburn girls by storm.
Danielle Wellborn is the campus manager for Vince Camuto and Katelyn Nunally and Lindsey Beno serve as “fashionistas.” They hold events throughout the year and this semester’s event was a fashion show.
There were 7 models who showed three looks each. They clothing was provided by Vince Camuto headquarters and Dillards. Hair and make-up styling was provided to each of the models and each model even got to keep one outfit that they wore.
The first 50 people who attended got a gift bag filled with Vince Camuto goodies. The bags were Vince Camuto cosmetic bags which contained small perfumes, scratch off discount cards and various other items.
More than 75 people attended the fashion show and each person was given a raffle ticket. After 7 looks were modeled another group of models would show off merchandise that was in the raffle. The merchandise included purses, perfume, bracelets, a blanket, gift cards and sunglasses.
“Modeling for the Vince Camuto fashion show was such a fun experience,” said Lauren McDavid. “The clothes are so well made and so cute it makes me wish I could take it all home with me.”
Many other organizations helped with the fashion show. The Auburn Cooking and Baking Club provided cupcakes, cookies and other sweet treats for the guests. A few boys from Farmhouse Fraternity were the models escorts and seated guests before the fashion show began.
A photographer, videographer and Eagle Eye News attended the event. Therefore, video and picture coverage can be found on Facebook and Eagle Eye TV.
There is an opening for the Spring semester for two more “fashionistas.” If you are interested in applying to become a “fashionista” for Vince Camuto go to www.vincecamuto.com and click on the “Be the Next Campus Representative- Sign Up Now” button on the bottom of the home-page.
