A First Visit to Auburn

Auburn has students from all 50 states. Often those students might have a friend visit from their home state, or just a friend that lives somewhere outside of Alabama.



For Jessica Raison, this weekend was her first trip to Auburn.

Job Opportunities On Campus

Nine thousand three hundred-sixty dollars. That’s the cost for a non-resident to attend Auburn. For Alabama natives, it’s $3,120. That doesn’t include rent, food or gas money.



The gap between the two is large, but either way it is a lot of money. It’s even more for the students who pay themselves. Even the students whose parents assist them with expenses can cause a budget strain. What are the options to soften the impact of costs? A job.

Learning To Counsel Wisely :: Janzen-style

Everyone has a calling. Whether it is an engineer, veterinarian, educator or counselor, there are many options to choose from at Auburn University.



Lauren Janzen is a senior majoring in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS). She wants to work for a non-profit pregnancy center after graduation. Her interests are helping teenage women with unexpected pregnancies.
